Halloween Ghost

A quick, cheap and easy craft idea for Halloween

Difficulty 1

You will need:

Dish cloth or old white t-shirt
2 x Pipe Cleaners
White thread
Scissors
Toy stuffing
For the face, either a sewing needle or marker pen
Sheering elastic (optional)

Method
  • Cut off the sewn ends of the dishcloth, then cut the dish cloth into 2 pieces.
  • Place the dish cloth piece centrally in one hand (preferably the one you don't favour), now with the other hand grab a piece of toy stuffing and place on top of the dishcloth, close your hand around the stuffing, now pushing the pipe cleaners into the centre of this.  Now close your fingers around this and squeeze the dish cloth together.
  • With a piece of thread wrap around the dish cloth and pipe cleaners close to the toy stuffing.  This is the ghost's neck.  Secure by knoting the ends of the thread.
  • Adjust the pipe cleaners to make arms.
  • Now take opposite corners of the dish cloth place a small amount of toy stuffing around the end of the pipe cleaner and wrap the corner of the dish cloth round, securing with thread as with the neck.
  • Do the same with the other pipe cleaner.
  • Use the marker pen draw the face.
  • When satisfied, then either secure thread, or shearing elastic to the top of your ghost's head and hang.

Happy Halloween
